A key stumbling block our team go through on a regular basis is breaking down any misconceptions or stereotypes about attending the gym and using a personal trainer. We are here for you, to help you along your fitness journey to saying Hello to Healthy.
So you want to get fit?
If you are new to training then the perfect starting point is to ask an expert for advice and a plan to follow. Think about setting a SMART goal (specific, measurable, attainable, relevant and time-bound) so you can measure progress as you go. A combination of cardiovascular training (running, walking, cycling etc) and strength training (resistance equipment, bodyweight exercises) three times per week will be enough to start with.
Fitness is not just about what you do in the gym, it’s about being active as often as possible.
Get up 30 minutes earlier than normal and go for a walk or run, take the stairs rather than an elevator. These small steps will all add up to a fitter you. You also need to make sure you eat right and rest well. Our clubs have expert advice available to get you started, all you need to do is ask.
