The joining process

How do I join?

Simply click ‘Join Now’ select your membership package and complete the online form. In a couple of minutes you’ll be starting a more active lifestyle.

What do I need to join?

Just your bank details and a debit or credit card.

How old do I need to be to join?

The minimum age is 16 years old.

What do you mean by ‘price for life’ guarantee?

The price you agree when you join will not change for the lifetime of your membership. As long as your membership remains active then we guarantee that your membership price will NOT increase.

I received a referral code when I joined, what is it for?

We know that if you train with a partner you will be more motivated and achieve better results. Your referral code is unique to you and offers a joining discount to your friends and family. If anyone joins using your code you could receive up to 12 months FREE membership as a reward.

Am I tied in to a contract?

All our membership packages from the 1st January 2016 are ‘No Contract’ so you have complete freedom to cancel at anytime after your 1st direct debit payment has been paid.

Can I pay cash?

The only cash membership option we offer is for an annual membership and can be paid in club. It’s our very best value price as you pay for 10 months and 2 additional months FREE.

What are the conditions around the off-peak SAVER Package?

The package is an off-peak that will restrict access to 9.30am – 3.30pm each day.

Visiting the gym

What are your opening hours?

The opening hours vary by club. Please refer to each clubs webpage for the up to date opening times.

How do I get in to the gym?

You will be issued with your personal membership card on your first visit to Helio Fitness. The only way you can access the club is to swipe your membership card at the turnstiles. Your membership card is yours and must not be shared with anyone else.

Facilities & equipment

Will someone show me where to go on my frst visit?

Unlike most other budget gym operators we are family owned and proud of our customer service. One of our friendly team will be on hand to get you off to a great start.

Will there be someone to help me in the gym and show me how to use the equipment?

All new members can book in for an induction that will build your confidence and set you off on the right path. Our Inductions are held on a one to one basis and geared to your past exercise experience.

Will personal training be available?

Yes, personal training is available at participating clubs at an affordable cost. Please speak to individual trainers for pricing.

What equipment will you have?

Our clubs have a fantastic range with plenty of cardio, resistance, free weights and functional equipment.

Do you have classes and do i need to book?

Yes, we offer a fantastic selection of classes at participating clubs including Les Mills BodyPump and BodyCombat, Spin, Metafit and Insanity to name a few. All classes are included in all membership packages. All classes are booked through our online member zone.

Do you have car parking?

All our clubs have the benefit from plenty of FREE parking spaces for your convenience.

Are there changing facilities?

All clubs have spacious changing facilities with secure lockers, private showers and toilet facilities.

Do you have to pay for lockers?

No, Our lockers operate with either a padlock (available to purchase in participating clubs) or a £1 coin (refundable once used). Your welcome email will inform you of your clubs locker mechanic.

Do you have water fountains?

Unlike other budget operators we take hydration seriously and all our clubs have FREE to use filtered and cooled water fountains. Just bring your drinks bottle and fill it up.
