Setting SMART goals
Set a SMART Goal
In the world of fitness, a SMART goal is one that is Specific, Measurable, and Achieveable, and it’s one that you can Reward yourself for meeting as long as you meet it within a certain Time.
Meeting goals is satisfying, and it helps build momentum. Just pay close attention to the “achieveable” part of this equation because an unrealistic goal only sets you up to fail. A goal can be anything from the amount of time you want to spend exercising each week to something more specific such as weight loss of 4lb in the next 4 weeks. It is key to measure your progress but this shouldn’t become an obsession with progress being tracked daily. We would recommend that taking and recording progress once a week is plenty to keep you on track.
